Interviews for the new team to take over from Debi and Harlequin Theatre Arts have been taking place this week and we am pleased to announce that we have appointed a fantastic new principle and talented teaching staff that have some exciting plans for the academy.
The new team are:
Amanda Rivers: Principal.

Before moving back to Boston, Amanda worked as a professional musician on the West End and touring musicals including Cabaret and The Witches of Eastwick. She attended Blackfriars Youth Theatre when she was a kid and is extremely excited and honored to be returning all these years later to share her experience and enthusiasm with a whole new generation of young people.
Natasha Townsend: Tutor.
Miss Natasha has been with Harlequin for a few years and is taking on a larger role within the new team as the academies dance and drama tutor and main choreographer.
Abi Kingsley- Parker: Blackfriars Dance Academy
Miss Abi will be heading up the sister company to the Theatre Academy with Blackfriars Dance Academy meeting on Wednesday nights; teaching a range of dance styles and technique. She will also be joining us as a guest choreographer with the Saturday Academy.
The new team have a lot of fantastic plans and shows up their sleeves and exciting things are going to happen with the academy. More information will be published for parents and associates soon.
Amanda will be coming in on Saturday 2nd July to meet the associates during their classes and be holding a parents meeting, where she will outline all her plans for the academy and you can ask her any questions you may have, on the Saturday at 11:30am and 4pm. This is in addition to the informal meet and greet with the new team on Harlequin’s final session on Saturday 16th July as previously advertised.
